Treasury has today released figures showing that the Government surplus is running at more than $4 billion for the 6 months to December, more than $1.6 billion ahead of forcasts. Despite this we have Dr Cullen claiming that the $300 million needed to increase the tax thresolds as promised by not be affordable.
