David Parker resigns from Cabinet
NZ Politics

David Parker has this morning resigned from his remaining cabinet posts (transport and energy) for filing false declarations, despite yesterday saying that he would hold on to them. That is definately a good decision, particularly as their may be legal action pending from the companies office.

It is a real breath of fresh air compared to the David Benson-Pope saga, and definate kudos to Parker for doing so. However, kudos may not save him from prosecution, and a conviction would result in him losing his seat in Parliament.
