As is well known, National accidentally overspent during the last election campaign where they spent $900,000 exclusing GST on broadcasting, instead of $900,000 including GST. So, Don Brash has drafted a members bill to allow National to pay back the money for this case only, and will seek leave on June 13 when Parliament resumes to introduce it to the House.
