Parekura Horomia
NZ Politics

The Sunday Star Times has a go at Parekura Horomia today, saying that he is "possibly the most incompetent person ever to have held a ministerial warrant in New Zealand".mini clip .com game

They point out the lack of talent in the current Labour caucus, with the exception of the inner Cabinet, who are fairly overworked, and that Labour is unlikely to address this in the near future, due to the limited sources that their MPs seem to come from (ex-school teachers, ex-polytech tutors, and minor union officials). This has come about because Labour has chosen to use their party list to protect sitting MPs, meaning that very few seats open up to inject new talent.mini clip .com game

National has somewhat of an advantage here. They only had 25 MPs seeking re-election last year, and were always going to get at least 40 seats, giving plenty of opportunity for fresh talent.mini clip .com game

Labour could be in a bit of strife when the current core retires...mini clip .com game
