Telecom has announced that they are going to separate into independent retail and wholesale operations. They seem to have released few details so far but have investigated how this has been done by both British Telecom and Telstra.
This is a good move, both for them and the country. If Telecom's voluntarily separates they can significantly influence how LLU will be implemented, and ensure that they are well-placed for it. It also means that we are likely to see benefits for consumers much more quickly.
