It's all Europe
International

So we got to the semi-finals of the World Cup now, and there are only European teams left. Germany managed to defeat Argentina in a penalty shootout, yesterday, and this morning, France eliminated Brazil by 1-0. Interestingly, despite how good Brazil is, they have only beaten France once in a competition game, and that was back in the 50s.

It was disappointing that England was eliminated as well though. I have only seem the penalty shoot-out with Portugal so far, not any of the game proper, but apparently they were hard done by with a penalty not given after a hand-ball in the Portugeuse penalty area. Mind you, given how badly they did in the shoot-out, it might not have made a difference.

From what I hear, Rooney deserved to be sent off though - stamping on a defender's groin in front of the referee pretty much deserves it. For stupidity if nothing else.
