Harmeet Sooden has a bit of a rant in the Dominion Post today against the New Zealand government and press for their involvement in Afghanistan and coverage of Iraq respectively.
But he appears to be no better at spin than Helen Clark:
Mr Sooden said New Zealand media had also "falsely and knowingly" asserted that he claimed a ransom had been paid for his release in Iraq.
He had only said he believed a "negotiated settlement" was reached.
So, just what is the difference between a ransom and a 'negotiated settlement' when you are dealing with terrorists?
