NTFS is the Windows high performance file system, initially designed for Windows NT to get around a lot of the problems of FAT. It has, however, a poor reputation for becoming very fragmented and then running very slowly.
Well, it turns out that Microsoft has the perfect solution to this problem:
1) Copy all of your files to another partition or disk drive.
2) Delete all of your files.
3) Copy all the files back.
Sounds like something that belongs in The Daily WTF.
