David Farrar has just posted a graph showing the significant increase in federal expenditure over the past four years, despite Republicans, normally the fiscally prudent party, holding the White House and majorities in both Houses of Congress.
This is likely to be one of the reasons that they are likely to lose at least the House and possibly the Senate in next months elections. However, maybe a few terms out of office may help them rediscover their roots, and learn how to manage the economy properly again.
