The Auditor General's report

The Auditor General's report is finally out, with his final figures on the amount overspent by each party:mx-7922 sim unlock

Green - $80,939
Labour - $767,963
Maori - $48
National - $11,305
New Zealand First - $150,446
Progressive - $0

So in the three months prior to the last election, the politicians stole over $1 million from the public to pay for themselves to get re-elected.mx-7922 sim unlock

And Labour's response to this is to try and introduce state funding of political parties. In effect saying "we stole it and got caught, so we'll change the law to take it legally next time".mx-7922 sim unlock

If a private citizen under pays their tax, IRD chases them down for the full amount paid, a ridiculously high interest rate, and penalty fees. Let's apply this to all the thieving political parties as well...mx-7922 sim unlock
