Over the Christmas holidays, Tina and I took a brief trip to Kaikoura and Blenheim. We went across on the ferry and rented a car for a few days to drive around. While the weather on the first day was brilliant, the rest of the time it was rather wet, somewhat limiting our plans.[pP]>BEFSX41 RESET EDonkey 2000
Anyway, I took a few photos around Kaikoura. As per usual I have high resolution versions available if anyone wants them.[pP]>BEFSX41 RESET EDonkey 2000
What I really like about Kaikoura is how picturesque it is with the mountains and the sea so close to each other. This photo was taken on the coastal road - the picture is about 20m to the right.[pP]>BEFSX41 RESET EDonkey 2000

That afternoon we did a walk around the coast just south of Kaikoura where a seal colony lives (although we only saw a single seal which was right next to the carpark). This panoramic shot is looking south just around from Kaikoura.[pP]>BEFSX41 RESET EDonkey 2000

This one is of one of the many little bays around the peninsula.[pP]>BEFSX41 RESET EDonkey 2000

This is the Kaikoura ranges from the cliffs above the seal colony.[pP]>BEFSX41 RESET EDonkey 2000

Finally, this is another of the southern bays, taken from the cliffs above (after we dragged ourselves up them slowly).[pP]>BEFSX41 RESET EDonkey 2000
