The dams are in the wrong place

The dams for the water supply in South-East Queensland are just in the wrong place. Some areas of the Gold Coast got 125mm of rain last night, yet the 3 main dams got 2mm, 16mm, and 32mm.

While there may be a drought on, it has rained very heavily at least 3 times since we have been in Brisbane. If the water catchment areas were in a better place there would be no water shortage at all.

Maybe we should leave buckets outside, and carry them out to the dams...
